After nine wonderful years in Spokane, my family and I recently moved to Utah. I’m now a pediatric ophthalmologist and associate professor at the University of Utah’s Moran Eye Center, which is a world-class ophthalmology department in my home town of Salt Lake City, Utah.
I see patients in clinic and do eye surgery at Primary Children’s Hospital in Lehi, Utah, and also at the main Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City. I also get to teach ophthalmology residents and University of Utah medical students in the clinic, the operating room, and the classroom. The opportunity to be part of this top notch institution, in a place where I can help train the next generation of ophthalmologists, was a big part of why we decided to make this move.
So far, this has been a fantastic experience! I love my new patients, and I’ve been so grateful for my colleagues and teammates for their guidance in helping me get started.
